Circuit solution
The chosen circuit is a fully balanced solution with two separate mono amplifiers, thus providing stereo. They are DC coupled with servo adjustment of any offset. Inputs both from RCA and XLR input is feed to the input of the amplifier. A requirement during development was to have all switches controlling the amplifier on the front and not hidden at the back at the bottom. This requirement lead to a design with mos-switches that operate the amplifier and only relays in input and output circuit.
Muting is done during change of settings to avoid any noise from reaching the power amplifier.
The principal schematic shows the symmetrical structure of the amplifier. There are 2 identical amplifiers in each unit.
