Phono amplifier
Röcklinger AURIA
The Röcklinger PHA-1 was a success right from the start due to its flexibility and well sounding design. The PHA-2 had greater distance between the transformer and amplifier, so it was even quieter. Furthermore, as more space was available, the shielding and transformer design could be improved and it also affected the sound for the better. PHA-2 also improved on the component quality matching was even closer.
We at Röcklinger could have continued with that product, but we envisioned to develop and produce a full line of Hi-Fi equipment (including pre-amplifier, output amplifier etc.) with a unique and consistent design. So the Röcklinger AURIA was first in line to be released with the new design. The basic electronic design is the same as in PHA-2, but the component quality is now at the highest available level. Matching is as good as in PHA-2, but the temperature class is now the highest. This means that the components perform their best already at lower temperatures than before. In Auria, the distance between the transformer and the amplifier part has increased even further, which makes Auria even quieter. Finally, a new type of relays are used which provides even better treble output than before.
The design is completely balanced and completely mono-built. Röcklinger AURIA has 3 inputs and 2 outputs, so you can have 3 record players connected at the same time and choose which one you want to listen to with the input selector. All adjustments and matching of the pickup are made on the front.
